How to prepare Russian borscht soup

  1. Put the vegetable oil in a hot pot, add the onion and garlic and fry for five minutes until soft, then add the tomatoes, potatoes and cabbage, stir and leave the mix for twenty-five minutes until when it is soft. Baste, put on the fire, close the lid and leave the meat for 30 minutes, until it is completely cooked.
  2. Put the meat in a bowl with a mixture of vegetables, salt, pepper and paprika and wait until it boils. Then add the beetroot and cook for 5 minutes until the ingredients are combined. Pour into a serving dish and serve hot with sour cream and toasted garlic bread.
