  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1.5 cups roasted and ground raisins or black seeds
  • 1 cup:
  • coarse semolina - olive or vegetable oil to taste - cold syrup for impregnation
  • ½ cup sugar

  • Sesame - peeled almonds for garnish
  • 1 tablespoon:
  • instant yeast - baking powder

  1. Mix flour, semolina, iris, sesame seeds and sugar in a bowl, add oil and stir, add baking powder, instant yeast and water and knead with a rolling pin until a uniform dough is formed.
