Ingredients Marouk Ramadan with dates

  • For the flour: 
  • Half a kilogram of flour 
  • 3 quarter cups and two spoons of milk 
  • A third of a cup of sugar 
  • spoon yeast 
  • bed 
  • Half a spoon of mahlab 
  • Half a spoon of salt 
  • 3 tablespoons softened butter 
  • Fill in: 
  • A cup of date paste 
  • 2 tablespoons sweet cinnamon 
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter 
  • For face: 
  • A blessing 
  • Sesame 
  • For face makeup: 
  • yolk sac 
  • two tablespoons of milk 
  • a spoonful of vanilla 


How to prepare: Maarouk Ramadan with dates


  1. In a blender, add milk, sugar and yeast, start and let it work.
  2.  Then add eggs and milk and stir, then add flour and salt and mix well.
  3.  Then add the butter and knead until you get a good dough, then cover and let it rest for an hour.
  4.  In the meantime, we mix dates with cinnamon and butter, mix them and make three sticks.
  5.  Now we come back to the dough when it rises, we divide it into 6 sections to make 3 days of filling in 3 plates as taste. Without food, we take each piece,
  6.  decorate it, spread it well with our hands, put it on a tray with paper and cover it.
  7.  In the case of food, we spread each in the direction of the length and put the fingers of the paste that we made.
  8.  Then we close the dough and the filling and we make a cut on the face with a knife, then we turn it like a ring.
  9.  We put it on a tray and skin and cover it for 10 minutes to rest. 
  10. We mix egg yolks, milk and vanilla, paint their faces and sprinkle them with sesame and black seeds.
  11.  We enter the oven from the bottom for 20 minutes in the middle, then the red face.
